Rocca di Castagnioli 2001 Buriano Cabernet Sauvignon
93 points Wine Advocate!: "The 2001 Buriano, all Cabernet, an inky ruby in color, offers very ripe blackberry and black currant fruit, resin, and eucalyptus in its aromatics, a weighty, full-throttle palate of creme de cassis and gravel, and a warm, intense licorice and graphite-laden finish. Built to last, it will drink well for another decade and a half."

Oliverhill 2006 Clarendon Shiraz
92 points from S. Tanzer! Best price nation wide! "Deep violet. Explosive blackberry, mulberry and smoked meat aromas are brightened by zesty minerality and exotic orange zest. Seductively spicy and pure, offering vivid cherry and dark berry flavors and no undue weight..."

Robert Mondavi 2005 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
90-92 S. Tanzer! "Good full ruby. Blackberry and graphite on the nose. Crunchy and young, with flavors of crushed black fruits. Less densely packed than the 2004 but this serious cabernet is evolving very slowly."

Mas Doix Salanques 2005 Priorat
93 points Wine Advocate! "The 2005 Salanques, a blend of 65% Garnacha, 20% Carinena, and the balance Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, is aged in French oak for 14 months. It has a glass-coating purple-hue with an alluring bouquet of cedar, smoke, slate, blueberry, and black cherry. Youthful and structured on the palate, this potentially complex effort will profit from 5-7 years of additional cellaring. It will be at its best from 2015 to 2030."

Spadafora 2005 Monreale Syrah (Sicily)
Great Syrah from Italy! A blend of mostly Syrah, with a little bit of Nero D'Avola. Ruby red color. Round and penetrating bouquet with a scent of berries. Aromatic persistence. Well balanced tannins. The Spadafora vineyards are located in Monreale (Palermo region), at 250 meters above sea level, cultivated in sandy, clay soil. Wow!"
